- Free Company members are expected to be respectful and polite to the others members of the FC. Banter and humour is obviously permitted, as long as both sides are having fun.
- If you’re having a problem or you’re not happy about something… talk to someone about it. Other FC people may be able to help, but if not, talk to Scott. Nothing can possibly get fixed if it’s not known there is a problem.
- Swearing in FC chat is permitted, but that doesn’t mean every other word should be a swear word, we’re not stereotypical sailors! However, please remember that technically it’s against Final Fantasy XIV’s policies to use profanity or other offensive language, so please use your best judgement!
- All FC events are optional, but if you have said you’ll come to something and you later can’t, please try and give as much notice as possible. In most cases this isn’t a real issue, but if nothing else it saves everyone else time as we know not to wait 5-10 for you to arrive. Sometime you might not be able to give any warning, just please try when you can.
- It is recommended, but not required that you join our Discord server. This is where most of the daily chat goes on (usually text, but sometimes voice) and it’s also where events are coordinated and giveaways are run.
